Ever since Theo has taken over calling the shots for the Cubs, they have been huge players in the international free-agent market. From Jorge Soler to Eloy Jimenez, Willson Contreras, and even Miguel Amaya, things have worked out on that front well over the years.

Excellent column Mr. Riese. With the lack of activity in the ML free agent and trade markets this year for the Cubs it's great to see them pursuing such top International Free Agent market with such top talent. Hope they can sign both.

That has been the theme for theo since he took over. He loves the international fa market and has hit been amazing at that. From soler to Contreras to amaya to Jimenez
